One of the great red wines from the DOC Riojana.
Tasting notes:
Visual : Cherry red with a good layer.
Nose : Complex and elegant, perfumed, balsamic, aromatic woods, toasted, roasted, licorice, red fruit and dairy.
Palate : Very tasty, fresh, enveloping, fluid. Finish marked by elegant barrel aromas.
The Eguren family has always shown great respect for their land and with Señorío de San Vicente they aim to revive an almost extinct native variety: the hairy Tempranillo. Señorío de San Vicente is, in a nutshell, a project that consists of producing a single wine, from a single vineyard (the 18-hectare La Canoca estate) and made with a single variety.
The Tempranillo Peludo vines are planted at Finca la Canoca, in the town of San Vicente de la Sonsierra, a town with a privileged location and conditions, between the Sierra de Cantabria and on the banks of the Ebro River. The wine is made in the traditional Rioja way. Malolactic fermentation takes place in barrels, where it is aged for 20 months.
