Tasting Note:
Visual phase:
It has an intense cherry red colour with brick-red edges, showing a bright appearance and a very marked tear in the glass.
Olfactory phase:
On the nose, aromas of ripe red fruits such as cherries and plums stand out, accompanied by spices such as cloves and pepper. Balsamic notes , vanilla and pleasant roasted touches are also perceived, which are intensified by a slight oxygenation in the glass, increasing the aromatic complexity of the wine.
Gustatory phase:
On the palate, 1856 is powerful and flavoursome , with an intense mouth aroma. The tannins are soft and well integrated with the wood, providing a balanced texture. The smoothness on the palate is expected to improve further with a few additional months in bottle. The wine offers a long gustatory persistence, leaving a lasting memory of its complex flavours and aromas. Sophisticated and balanced .
Pairing Note:
This wine is ideal to accompany roasted red meats, game dishes, hearty stews and aged cheeses. Its structure and complexity enhance and complement the flavours of these foods. Serve at a minimum temperature of 17ºC to fully enjoy its characteristics.
Aging Potential:
1856 will evolve favorably over the next 4 years, gaining in smoothness and complexity over time.
